Hotel group launch new three-tier grading system

Hotel chain Best Western is to rebrand its hotels in a new three-tier grading system. The new system will see hotels fall into three categories; Best Western, Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier.

Chief executive, Richard Lewis believes the launch of the new three tier system would build on the chains ‘Hotels with Personality’ campaign and give guests more choice and clarity when deciding on which hotel to stay at.

Ten hotels in the UK including the Dean Court Hotel in York have been given the Best Western Plus branding. These hotels offer bigger beds, quality bedding, treats on arrival, bathrobes, additional complimentary toiletries, improved comfort as well as some other features. A further nine hotels have become Best Western Premier hotels, the highest standard in the Best Western chain.

Mr Lewis said he expects the number of Best Western Plus hotels to rise by the end of the year.

“We are at an exciting time and have many plans to make Best Western the number one mid-market choice in Great Britain. Creating more clarity for our guests and gaining even greater customer satisfaction, is essential and key to our success,” he said.
