New Hotel in Liverpool

It has just been announced that there is soon to be a new £15m state of the art hotel opened in Liverpool by next year. The Hotel Indigo group made the press statement on Saturday [27th Mar] that the building in Chapel Street, near to St Nicholas' Church will create more than 50 jobs adding to the burgeoning Merseyside economy.

The Indigo Brand, which is a relative newcomer to the industry, has at the moment only two hotels in the UK [Glasgow and Paddington being the others], has shown ambition in trying to establish itself in the market.

Of course Chapel Street is well known to all Liverpudlians as it is one of the seven main streets upon which the city was built, for which King John gave permission back in 1207, and therefore the street is about as much a part of Liverpool as any other place, if not more so.
