Classic Central Edinburgh Hotels

Some people like to stay in places just outside of the main city centre, presumably this is in order to escape the hubble and bubble late at night when they are all tucked up in bed.

But for others the great ease of traveling about the city, to the restaurant, to the cinema, to the theatre.

Almost the most centrally located hotel in Edinburgh is the Mount Royal in Princes Street. It looks out upon the marvelous Princes Street Gardens, which are great during the Summer months. And when the Festival is on everything is within a stone's throw, from the off-beat to the traditional, like the Tattoo.

And above all else it is a quite remarkable looking building. Fitting neatly into the skyline of the Edinburgh New Town like it was always meant to be.
